is AI will end the job of software engineers

In recent day's, almost all software engineer are worried about is they are going to loose their jobs from AI? 

I just have a little bit conversation with my friend who is software engineer with almost 10+ experience. He was stuck on one complex step so he took help from CHAT-GPT and he was surprised that this complex code easily written by CHAT-GPT. 

Interesting right? 

Currently AI need to give some commands from human to print some results but we know that side by side AI also memorizing this steps and will use in same conditions. 

If AI will understand all steps then one day AI will do similar task without any command even writing a whole application on simple business documents.
